VETERAN’S BUILD PROGRAM

Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley is a Veteran’s Build Affiliate with Habitat for Humanity International

The Five Pillars of Veteran’s Build Affiliates are:

BUILD

Safe, decent, affordable housing is the centerpiece of Veterans Build. Here in the Inland Valley, we have expanded programs to maintain and preserve homes and make them more energy-efficient and affordable.

EDUCATE

We strive to help our staff and community volunteers better understand military culture. This increases our effectiveness in interaction with veterans and military families.

EMPLOY

We value skill sets gained from military service. Whenever possible, we reach out to veterans to work at Habitat as employees, and board members.

ENGAGE

Veterans want to give back. We provide opportunities for veterans to continue volunteering and giving back to their communities. 

HONOR

Throughout the year, we host special events that pay tribute to veterans, and mobilize volunteers by raising awareness through advocacy.
