Temecula (Oct. 20, 2015) - Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley will once again spread holiday joy throughout the community with its ninth annual Christmas Tree Lane at the Promenade in Temecula mall. The fundraiser opens Nov. 7 and features 20 exquisitely-designed Christmas trees with themes such as the Star Wars Tree, Gift Card Tree, Chargers Tree, Charlie Brown Tree, Minions Tree, Butterfly Tree, and a Mannequin Tree, all of which will be given away to the chosen winning ticket holders on Dec. 15 at a drawing ceremony at the mall.

Opportunity drawing tickets will be on sale for $1 each or 20 for $10 at the event, located near the entrance to Macy’s Women’s Store on the lower level during regular mall hours. Promenade in Temecula is at 40820 Winchester Road in Temecula.

In addition to being a fundraiser, Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley Executive Director, Tammy Marine, said the event is much more than that.

“This event cultivates joy,” Marine said. “The beautiful visual is a happy diversion from the stressful world. Individuals come back time after time to disconnect, remember and dream. Many of the large companies in the region are involved in one

way or another, it’s rewarding to them to contribute in such a positive and impactful way. The magic of Christmas Tree Lane is contagious.”

Marine said this year’s theme is “The Garden of Hope and Love,” which “correlates in Habitat’s belief of spreading God’s love to one another and offering hope to those who need it. We anticipate this year’s theme to be a show stopper!”

The event, chaired by Vicki Puterbaugh, is fueled by the tireless work of the Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley staff and hundreds of volunteers.

“We use volunteers to design and decorate the trees,” Marine said. “The setup and breakdown of the event are volunteers. All ticket sellers are volunteers. Our volunteers are from every demographic you can imagine. High schoolers, senior citizens groups, local businesses, Habitat board members, churches, clubs, anyone who wants to serve is welcome to help.”
